About Ryan Chin

Lori, Ryan Chin (Gin Fu), Jaxen, and Rayden at their home in Northeast Portland

Gin Fu is my Chinese name and it means wealth. I like to say that my life is rich because of my family, friends and experiences.  I gave up my career as an elementary teacher seven years ago to pursue my creative aspirations.  I am a published writer and I have just released a multimedia memoir in 2011. Without Rain There Can Be No Rainbows, a pet and teacher memoir sandwiched into a travel memoir (New Zealand) is available at Amazon, B&N, iTunes, and locally at Powell’s Books. As any artist knows, a source of income is needed to pursue these larger creative projects. My construction business is perfect as I enjoy providing my neighbors with quality service, and I can dictate my own schedule. I’ve worked as a professional remodel contractor for nine years specializing in kitchen remodels and windows. I strive to bring quality service and affordability to all my clients and go the extra step to make sure everything is communicated properly.
